Donaghadee Harbour & Lighthouse

A signature landmark, the harbour dates back to the 17th century and was redeveloped in the early 19th century. Its white limestone lighthouse, completed in the 1830s, continues to guide ships across the Irish Sea with its powerful beam

The Moat (Donaghadee Motte) 

Dating to the late 12th century, the Motte features a 19th‑century gunpowder store. Inside, the island’s only accessible camera obscura offers reversed panoramic projections of the coastline and town. Open seasonally from May to September; free entry

Sir Samuel Kelly Lifeboat Station

A proud RNLI station that has served the local community since 1910. It currently operates the MacQuarie all‑weather lifeboat. The station is a testament to Donaghadee’s maritime tradition and rescue heritage
